With Parents of Elementary School Students (Grades 1-3)

Purpose of the meeting
To educate parents about the importance of education for children.
Attendance was taken (50 mothers) and gifts were distributed to the parents, followed by the main discussion topics with service officials:
9:20 a.m. Father Sarabion (priest of the church and representative of the Diocese of 6 October) began his speech on the importance of education:
To enlighten minds
To solve problems
To improve living standards
To eliminate ignorance
Always be ready to answer anyone who asks you…
Father Sarabion concluded his speech by welcoming and distributing gifts and encouraging the secretariat officials and servants.
Start of Miss Dina’s speech on (Preparing Children for Education) by monitoring children’s behavior and teaching them discipline from an early age… (The story of the mouse and the trap)
Father Luke Maher (priest of St. Mark’s Church in Heliopolis and head of the Teach Your Child program) began his speech
on how to help children excel in education, with a discussion for parents on the causes of a mother’s failure with her child in education, such as:

Giving the child unreasonable freedom
Violence
Lack of peace within the home
Comparisons “Parents, do not provoke your children…”
Overindulgence
Inability to understand how my child learns

And to help him through the triangle of education: ( Friendship – Role model – Spiritual prayer )
Real example: Jesus with his disciples (he was their friend, ate and drank with them, and was their role model).
